Located next to the popular Devil’s Water, “Schnitza's Wood Park” is waiting for you – a huge adventure playground. Everything here revolves around wood. Hold a milking contest with Resi the cow, carve your own walking sticks, take part in extreme mini golf or do the tree puzzle. Every child will find their favourite (wooden) pastime here for sure! www.schnitza.at
Note: Schnitza’s Wood Park is also suitable for pushchairs.
Another attraction awaits you in the valley of Saalbach Hinterglemm. Austria’s largest high ropes course runs over several stages here. It consists of several courses at different levels from 3 to 40 m in height. The latest attraction is three ropeslides with a total length of 2 km! Glide over the valley at 70 km/h at 100 m altitude! Apart from good footwear, climbers require great courage and skill for the different cable and bridge constructions. Safety is paramount on the high ropes course. Each participant is always attached to a lifeline and is double secured. www.bauboeck.com
“Water experience with all your senses” is what it’s about here! The Devil’s Water is a theme park that runs past several play and spa stations and is all about the element that is water. In addition to the fairy and dwarf kingdom, a refreshing Kneipp pool, a rock pool and mill wheel are waiting for you. You can let off some steam in the wooden play house and on the stone dragon court, observe dancing forest spirits or simply relax at the appropriate rest areas. Throughout the summer, you can enjoy the magical world of the Devil’s Water in Saalbach Hinterglemm for free!
The Baumzipflweg is the highest treetop walk in Europe. Together with the Golden Gate Bridge of the Alps, the longest pedestrian suspension bridge, this combination of a 1 km long trail over the treetops and a 200 m long suspension bridge about 40 m in height is a unique project. Thanks to the massive larch wood construction with stairs, towers, bridges and platforms, several wonderful viewpoints were created that delight young and old alike. www.baumzipflweg.at
